NetMap - Network coverage and addresses database
The Network coverage and addresses database of regulated access services allows you:
-
To identify uniquely the end-user sites using addresses certified by an External Provider
-
To match these Italian addresses with the Telecom Italia access network elements used to provide Wholesale access services
-
To show, for xDSL technologies, the best theoretical service level; these indications are under reserve of actual order delivery phase.
In this database is available the same place names reference as in national databanks ANNCSU; it is constantly updated by an External Provider with information collected from the municipalities.
For every address/house number NetMap provides the reference network elements for the provisioning of each service. In detail, it shows:
-
The Telecom Italia Cabinet (ARL) and/or the reference Exchange Area Identifier and/or Exchange/Device to which the address is connected with its identifier;
-
The address information (Street, City, Province) with Telecom Italia address code and its corresponding EGON code
-
For every service and family, where applicable, the downstream and upstream speed theoretically available by the providing network of the address, under reserve of actual order delivery phase. The calculation of these parameters is based on the distance between network elements and customer site and/or the distance between the house and the network element. In particular, these parameters are not shown for FTTH technology: in this case, in fact, the downstream / upstream speeds that can be supplied through Bitstream NGA and VULA are always the same as the speeds associated with the chosen commercial profile and there is no limitation for the connected addresses, to the choice of commercial profiles.
For multi-connected addresses, the address code of distribution network element is also provided, possibily completed with additional information about network termination position (last distribution point), useful to identify the routing to the end customer's address.
In this version the Network coverage and addresses database contains streets and addresses description and corresponding availability of SLU, NGA and VULA FTTCab Bitstream, NGA and VULA FTTH Bitstream, Simmetric e Asimmetric ATM and Ethernet Bitstream, LLU, WLR, Terminating Ethernet Connections by Optical Fiber and WILL services.
